Krasnodar, 10 June – Yug Times. From 12 June, the high-speed hydrofoil Kometa-120M will again connect Sochi and Gelendzhik via a daily sea route.
Travelling at speeds of up to 60 km/h, the vessel will complete the journey in approximately three and a half to four hours. Passengers concerned about sea sickness can take advantage of aircraft-style seats made from vibration-absorbing materials, as well as a modern air-conditioning system. The hydrofoil accommodates up to 120 passengers.
“This route will improve transport links between two of Krasnodar Krai’s most popular seaside resorts. The restoration of the sea connection will allow visitors to enjoy comfortable sightseeing trips without transfers and with minimal travel time. Maritime transport also helps reduce pressure on road and rail networks while supporting tourism development,” said Sochi Deputy Mayor Viacheslav Bauer.
According to the Sochi Mayor’s Office press service, boarding begins 30 minutes before departure.
