Krasnodar, 21 May – Yug Times. Authorities in Krasnodar have reportedly removed more than 600 shop signs and advertising displays found to be in breach of the city’s new regulations.
The updated rules governing the placement and appearance of information signage were discussed during a briefing at City Hall.
“Many residents and visitors have noticed that the city is changing for the better. Uniform-style signage on shops and commercial premises is an important part of these positive changes,” said Krasnodar Deputy Mayor Artyom Gubsky.
The new regulations came into force on 17 June 2025. They standardise the size, shape, colour schemes and other design requirements that business owners must follow.
Officials also confirmed that a revised version of the city’s landscaping and urban improvement regulations is currently being prepared and undergoing approval procedures. The updated document will incorporate signage requirements in line with changes to federal legislation. Chief Architect of Krasnodar Ilya Chikayev presented detailed examples of the approved formats, colours, fonts and permitted placement of signs.
