Krasnodar, 15 May – Yug Times. Installation of new bridge spans on the overpass leading to Krasnodar Airport is set to begin in the second half of May.
Reconstruction of the Fadeyevsky Overpass is continuing, with all old span structures already dismantled. Progress on the project was inspected by First Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure of Kras nodar Krai Yuri Savenko and Krasnodar Deputy Mayor Vladimir Arkhipov.
As part of the reconstruction works, specialists keep on relocating utility networks, and installing retaining walls and new supports.
“We plan to begin installing the new bridge spans in the second half of May. These works are expected to be completed by the end of June,” Vladimir Arkhipov said.
The overpass will effectively be rebuilt almost from scratch. Its structure will also be partially redesigned, replacing the existing four-span configuration with a two-span structure.
Traffic is expected to reopen on two lanes of the overpass in September this year, while full restoration of the bridge is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
