Krasnodar, 30 April – Yug Times. Construction has reportedly begun on the stormwater pumping station on Rossiyskaya Street in Krasnodar, aimed at improving drainage across the city’s north-east ern neighbourhoods.

The facility is considered essential for the reliable operation of the drainage system and is being built with the participation of property developers. Deputy Mayor Vladimir Arkhipov held an on-site meeting to review the progress of the works.

“The construction of this pumping station will ensure full-scale stormwater drainage in the north-eastern part of the city, including areas around Ussuriyskaya, Yasnop olianskaya and Vostochno-Kruglikovskaya streets, as well as a large residential neighbourhood,” he said. “This is a critically important project for Krasnodar. At the same time, the works affect a busy thoroughfare, so it is vital to meet all deadlines and complete the construction on the carriageway by the end of the summer.”

The contractor has already begun work, installing fencing and temporary road markings. Sheet piling has been delivered to the site, and work has started on removing sections of the asphalt base in preparation for laying the collector pipeline.

“We plan to complete all works on Rossiyskaya Street and fully reopen traffic by early September,” said Sergei Anokhin, director of the construction company.
