Krasnodar, 12 March – Yug Times. Around 100 utility cuts have been left in Krasnodar following repairs to utility networks.

The issue was discussed at a meeting attended by the city’s deputy mayors, heads of the city district administrations and executives of utility service providers.

Most permits for excavation work are issued for water supply and sewerage networks. Far fewer relate to heating and power networks, gas pipelines and communication lines. The greatest number of cuts left not backfilled is linked to heating pipelines.

All existing utility cuts are to be restored by April. The mayor of Kras nodar has instructed that priority be given to restoring and landscaping the sections on Atarbekov Street, Shkolnaya Street and Blagoev Street, where residents have long been waiting for the completion of works. The progress of repairs there will now be under the personal supervision of the management of the utility companies involved.

According to officials at the meeting, the number of such permits issued by the city’s Department of Transport has been declining in recent years. The proportion of areas not restored on time after excavation works has also been decreasing: from 16% in 2022 down to 10.2% in 2023 and to 6.7% in 2024.
