Krasnodar, 21 Jamuary – Yug Times. More than 40 new sports facilities are planned for construction in Krasnodar Krai this year as part of a programme to expand and modernise the region’s sports infrastructure. The plans also include major refurbishment of existing venues.
The projects will include combat sports centres, low-cost and mul ti-purpose sports complexes, a swimming pool in the Korenovsk district, “smart” sports grounds, and multi-functional sports and play areas. Municipalities will also be equipped with small outdoor facilities for completing the Fit for Labour and Defence physical training standards, as well as modular and small-scale modular sports structures. At least seven municipal and regional sports facilities are set to undergo major renovation, while eight gymnastics centres will be de signed across the region
