Krasnodar, 13 Jamuary – Yug Times. A new stage of archaeological excavations has reportedly been completed at Deguak Glade in Adygea. In the territory of the future “Deguak Glade” Tourist and Recreational Complex, archaeologists have discovered a large number of artefacts belonging to various archaeological cultures, ranging from the Bronze to the Middle Ages. 

“These finds confirm that Deguak Glade had been a place of human settlement and economic activity for centuries, playing an important role in the region’s history. The research is ongoing. The latest excavation phase was completed at the end of last year, with the aim of studying the cultural layer as thoroughly as possible and ensuring the preservation of archaeological heritage sites,” Head of Adygea wrote on social media. 

Specialists examined two large burial mounds and a damaged dol men, where numerous stone slabs with grooves for fitting other slabs were found.
