Krasnodar, 24 December – Yug Times. In Krasnodar, officials discussed persistent problems with food quality in social institutions. They admitted that systematic violations remain a concern.

According to Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel, unscrupulous suppliers deliberately substitute ingredients with cheaper analogues to maximise profits and secure new contracts. These are not isolated cases: the same companies repeatedly supply substandard products. Such suppliers should be added to the federal register of bad-faith contractors via the Federal Antimonopoly Service before the consequences — including risks to children’s health — become critical.

Roman Kurinny, Head of the Consumer Market Department of Kras nodar Krai, reported that in 2025 the region joined a Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade pilot project to combat low-quality food supplies. The eight-month experiment (April–November) involved nearly 1,400 social institutions, including hospitals, kindergartens and schools. Inspections of 66,000 tonnes of products revealed 6% falsified goods and 0.02% with violations of mandatory standards.
