Krasnodar, 17 December – Yug Times. Over 172,000 children in Krasnodar are involved in supplementary education programmes.
The system of extracurricular education continues to expand in the capital of the Kuban region. Young residents attend clubs and sections at kindergartens and schools outside regular class hours, as well as at municipal cultural and sports institutions.
“One of our key priorities is to create conditions that allow every young resident of Krasnodar to choose activities they enjoy in their free time. This academic year, the number of supplementary education groups in the city has increased by 280,” Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Naumov said.
The main areas of supplementary education in general education institutions include preparation for academic competitions, foreign languages, robotics and program ming, visual arts, music, choreography, theatre, volunteering, media journalism, the Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-Witted, hiking and research expeditions, martial arts, chess, and team sports.
Children also master digital technologies and artificial intelligence, develop engineering projects and work with unmanned aerial vehicles.
