Krasnodar, 9 December – Yug Times. Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Nau mov has pledged that new tram lines will be built despite difficulties with land plots. The question was raised during a live call-in session with the governor.

Mr. Naumov reported that the concession agreement for the construction of tram lines is being implemented and that a new line to the Gidrostroitelei neighbourhood is being designed. This year the city received 50 new tram cars, most of which are already in service.

“We are now building the line towards the German Village and will keep the line. We are facing some difficulties with land plots, but we are overcoming them. We have already agreed on the purchase of new trams for next year,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev stressed. “We continue work on the tram line along the Western Bypass through the German Village and the Basket Hall to Moskovskaya Street,” Naumov added.

Several tram routes are currently under development. The municipality is designing a 2.2-kilo metre line to the Gidrostroitelei neighbourhood along with the reconstruction of Avtolubitelei Street. One of the construction companies is designing another tram line towards the Industrialny neighbourhood.
