Krasnodar, 12 November – Yug Times. Six public spaces are being improved in Greater Sochi following a win in a regional competition. Projects based on local initiatives in the Khosta district have been recognised among the strongest in the region. One of them is the upgrade of the multifunctional sports ground on Sayat-Nova Street.
More than 8 million roubles have been allocated from the regional and municipal budgets. Modern rubber surfacing has already been installed. Fencing and lighting will be added to ensure residents’ safety after dark. Sports and play equipment is now being put in place.
In addition, five more sites are being updated: a recreation and walking area in Verkhnenikolaevskoe village, the embankment of the Vostochny Dagomys River, and park areas on Aerodromnaya Street, Armianskaya Street and Kalinovy Lane.
More than 52 million roubles have been allocated for the implementation of the Khosta projects that won the regional local-initiatives competition this year.
