Krasnodar, 7 November – Yug Times. Major renovation has begun at one of Krasnodar’s oldest bazaars – the Sennoi Market. The works are expected to continue until the fourth quarter of 2027, but the market will remain open throughout the renovation.
According to the market management, the reconstruction project includes major repairs to the roof, façades, and stained-glass windows, alongside a comprehensive upgrade of engineering systems. The market will retain its primary function but will be significantly modernised and optimised, with improved navigation and new display cases. The surrounding area will also be landscaped and greened, and parking spaces reorganised.
“During the planning of the renovation, best practices from leading markets across Russia were taken into account. Sennoi will retain its uniqueness, blend harmoniously into Krasnodar’s architectural landscape, and become a destination not only for residents but also for visitors, young people, and families, remaining socially oriented and accessible," the management stated. A children’s zone will be established on the first floor, and food courts will be opened across the market.
