Krasnodar, 24 October – Yug Times. Last September, the volume of consumer loans issued in the Kuban region fell sharply: local residents took out by 27.7% fewer such loans, as can be seen from the data of the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBCH). On average in Russia, the volume of consumer loans issued amounted to 394.5 billion roubles, having decreased by 27.2% compared to the previous month (in August 2024 - 542.2 billion roubles).

At the same time, the region ranked third in terms of the total amount of consumer loans issued – 14.5 billion roubles (in August – 21.1 billion roubles), outrun by Moscow City (34.8 billion) and Moscow region (23.7 billion).

"In September, the reduction pace in the issuance of consumer loans significantly accelerated," said Aleksei Volkov, NBCH Marketing Director. "Thus, we can state that the regulator's tight monetary policy has started to ‘cool down’ the unsecured lending market at a rather high rate. At the same time, the increased incomes of the population still allow to keep lending and consumer activity at a fairly high level."
