Krasnodar, 27 September – Yug Times. Modernisation of Sochi's sewage treatment facilities was discussed at a meeting held last week with the federal Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
Currently, there are eight facilities for modernisation and construction in Sochi.
“We now have eight facilities identified for the regional programme. In order to increase the speed of decision-making at all levels and start the construction as soon as possible, we have divided their design into stages and each stage is uploaded sequentially to the Directorate-General for State Environmental Review; 17 stages have so far been submitted. On all issues, we are in constant co-operation with regional and federal structures,” said Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin. The results of the state expertise on the facilities located in Sochi are planned to be released in the first quarter of 2025.
The financing of the sewage treatment plant modernisation programme is carried out using the infrastructure menu mechanisms of the Russian Ministry of Construction. The Krasnodar region has been allocated an infrastructure budget loan for the works in Sochi in the amount of about 35 billion roubles.
