Krasnodar, 20 September – Yug Times. The issue of modernisation of the Central District has been discussed in Sochi.

The agenda of the meeting held at the City Hall included equipment of various public areas, repair of pavements and embankments, and construction of retaining walls. At present, the improvement of the pavement on Konstitutsii Street, which is part of the pedestrian route ‘Two Rivers – One Sea’, is nearing completion. About 1300 metres of the two kilometres of the promenade have so far been landscaped. The retaining wall was built, the concrete base arranged, and paving tiles laid. It is planned to complete the work by the end of the year.

“We are working on all issues of improvement in a comprehensive manner, together with the district administration, contractors and investors. At present, a city pedestrian route ‘Two Rivers – One Sea’ is under implementation. We hear a lot of flattering comments from residents and guests of the resort city regarding this project, which gives us an additional incentive in our work. We plan to develop all future improvement projects taking into account the opinions of Sochi residents and tourists, as well as historical, landscape and architectural features of the city area,” said Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin.
