Krasnodar, 7 March – Yug Times. Olga Polovianova, Director General Nestlé Kuban, recounts of the participation in the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, development of corporate volunteerism, and accomplishment of social projects. The Nestlé Kuban factory in Timashevsk is one of indisputable leaders of the Russian food industry. The fact has been proved by its scale of operations and extensive investments in the factory.
Q.: Nestlé Kuban is a constant participant of the Russian Investment Forums annually held in Sochi. Why is this platform attractive for big business?
A.: We have been taking part in suchlike forums since 2004. The Russian Investment Forum in Sochi is the platform that enables us to assert ourselves. We are a big company, and one of the major investors in the regional food industry. Last year, we signed a 1.5-billion-rouble-worth investment agreement - and by now, we have already fulfilled all our obligations.
Q.: At the forum, Nestlé Kuban took part in the roundtable on corporate volunteering. What was your experience which you shared with your colleagues?
A.: It was an interesting event, because it included a live discussion with a big amount of different views. We shared our experience of increase of the number of corporate volunteer activities. We take social development - volunteerism, sports events, etc. - as our high-priority activity: it’s important that a person’s work would be more than merely a work spot - they should get moral pleasure from their professoinal activity.
Q.: Nestlé Kuban has become one of the biggest taxpayers in the Krasnodar region. Can you give us some figures for the previous years?
A.: Over the past years, the total amount of investments has exceeded 11.5 billion roubles. We have launched lots of new products and rejuvenated the existing lines NESCAFÉ Gold and NESCAFÉ 3-in-1. And, of course, we are going to continue to market our new products.
