Krasnodar, 10 January – Yug Times. Sberbank has reportedly launched a so-called ‘campus project’ at the Kuban State University.
The students and the academic staff of the main university of the Kuban region became the first owners of a unique plastic card that may be used not only to pay for purchases or withdraw cash at ATMs, but also to access the University or the dormitory and to borrow books at the library.
Sberbank and the Kuban State University have concluded an agreement on strategic cooperation. The document was signed by Director of Sberbank’s regional office Andrei Oreshko and President of the Kuban State University Prof. Mikhail Astapov. “Sberbank’s project ‘Digital University’ has been developed especially for universities with the use of newest banking technologies,” Mr. Oreshko noted. “We have scrupulously studied seven campus projects successfully launched in Russian universities, and joined the best solution in a package [developed] for the Kuban State University.”
