Krasnodar, 30 November – Yug Times. An agreement on the organisation of rehabilitation of cosmonauts at Kuban resorts was reportedly concluded at the SIFT forum held in Sochi last week.
The document was signed by regional Minister for Resorts Khristofor Konstantinidi and director of the Gagarin State Scientific Research-andTesting Cosmonaut Training Centre Pavel Vlasov.
The parties stated their intention to develop a set of activities aimed at the organisation of medical rehabilitation and spa treatment of the Russian space crews in Kuban spas and resorts. They also decided to hold joint marketing and advertising activities, and promote the region’s spa potential at national and international conferences and exhibitions.
“We have already performed the first stage of selection of the spas in Tuapse, Anapa and of course Sochi,” Mr. Vlasov informed. “The selection contest will shortly be held, and the [first] cosmonauts will come to Kuban resorts next year.”
In his turn, Mr. Konstantinidi noted that the local rehabilitation and treatment programs, facilities and infrastructure comply to all global standards and are not inferior to those of European spas.
