Krasnodar, 26 October – Yug Times. On October 17, BASF launched a big production facility in Krasnodar. The new plant will produce special additives to improve the characteristics of concrete – altogether 20 products. The productivity will be 5,000 tons a year (or 10,000 tons if the plant will be working in two shifts). The total amount of investment in the construction approximated 2 million euros.
The new plant in Krasnodar has become BASF’s fourth production facility in Russia.
“The need to expand was dictated by the growing demand for hi-tech concrete additives in the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts,” BASF Construction Systems Director General Sergei Vetlov explained.
“The opening of a plant by one of the world’s leaders in chemical developments and technologies is another proof of the fact that Krasnodar is a stable and reliable partner for big business, for international partners,” Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov noted.
