Krasnodar, 24 October – Yug Times. Steven Seagal, an American actor, film producer, screenwriter, martial artist, and musician, was the most stellar and sought-after guest of the forum “It’s Now Up to Small Business” held on October 18 and 19 in Krasnodar. During the forum, Mr. Seagal gave an exclusive interview to The Yug Times weekly.
Q.: Can you tell us about your participation in the forum “It’s Now Up to Small Business”?
A.: I was invited by [Kuban Governor] Veniamin Kondratiev via the Development Corporation of the Krasnodar region. At the form, I had a chance to talk to Governor; in particular, we spoke about my key task and mission and discussed the opportunity for the development of a film studio, which was the main goal of my participation in the forum.
Besides, I discussed with Mr. Kondratiev an opportunity of taking part in the winemaking industry and a number of other issues that could introduce international business circles with the potential of the Krasnodar region and thereby bring investments to the region.
Q.: Will your planned business in Russia, and in particular the Krasnodar region, be connected with film industry only?
A.: In fact, yes. This is the main task of the activity that I would like to start here.
Q.: Hundreds of entrepreneurs that took part in the forum wanted to hear your advice on doing business. What is the main advice that you would give to all readers of our weekly?
A.: As I said at the forum, 99.9% of big businesses never started as a big business. All you have to know is: begin with little things, move towards your goal, and they you will get the results.
Q.: Then what is your goal in Russia, as a beginning businessman’s?
A.: as a businessman, I would like to deal with raising the life level - of my life level and of those around me, of the country’s. What I am saying about is not a direct earning on this but a transformation of the environment around you. My main goal is to improve the world around me.
