Krasnodar, 4 October – Yug Times. The regional authorities will reportedly submit a request to the Federal Agency for Fishery to permit fishery in the limans (shallow lakes beside the seacoasts). The previous contracts for seasonal fishery expired in 2017. To resume fishery, a special permit should be issued by the regional branch of the Federal Agency for Fishery. However, they are refusing to issue the permit, alluding to the inconsistencies between the Fishery Rules of the Azov and Black Seas basins and the federal law.
If the issue would be resolved, fishermen of the PrimorskoAkhtarsk, Kalininsky, Slaviansk and Temriuk districts would be able to catch about 500 tons of fish during a season, which in its turn would provide the local fish-processing industry with raw products and ensure its stable work.
