Krasnodar, 3 August – Yug Times. Russian citizens are facing the threat of closing of all visa centres: the State Duma has proposed to introduce mandatory accreditation of the companies that manage visa centres. According to the amendments to the Law No. 114 “On rules for entry into and exit from the Russian Federation”, in order to receive accreditation, an operator must have representative offices opened in at least 20 Russian regions, with a foreign share of not more than 20%.
“The new accreditation issuance criteria are such that none of the existing visa centres would be able to get the accreditation,” Irina Tiurina, spokesperson for the Russian Union of Tourism Industry, said.
