Krasnodar, 2 August – Yug Times. At least two or three years and about a billion roubles will be needed to resolve the problem with the waterlogging of Muzykalny neighbourhood in Krasnodar, Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov said addressing the townspeople worrying about constant formation of a ‘sea’ in their community after rainfalls.
Mr. Pervyshov announced that for the priority task for the city is to accomplish the construction of the main sewer in Metalnikov street to resolve the drainage problem in Muzykalny neighbourhood, and Rossiyskaya, Ussuriyskaya and Vostochno-Kruglikovskaya streets.
“The least thing that can be done to settle the problem is to divert water into the ditch flowing to the Osechka River’s hollow,” Mr. Pervyshov said. “Although the riverbed is located near Kopansky village, there’s a ditch running across the field that may be used for that purpose.”
However, in the future a 15 km long storm sewage must be laid instead of the ditch, together with water treatment facilities, he stressed. The money for the project will be allocated from the city and the regional budgets.
