Krasnodar, 25 July – Yug Times. By the end of November 2018, a new green zone will appear in Yubileiny neighbourhood of Krasnodar.
The alley will be named in honour of the 80th anniversary of the Krasnodar region. According to the concept announced by Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov, in the future it will become part of a single embankment built along the bank of the Kuban River between the park named after the 30th anniversary of Great Victory and Rozhdestvensky Park.
“It’s a symbolic project for Yubileiny neighbourhood and the city on the whole,” Mr. Pervyshov stressed. “In this area, we and local dwellers have prevented construction of high rises and returned the land into municipal property. Now we are proceeding to construct a modern recreation zone there.”
The project will reportedly be accomplished stepwise. This year, during the first stage, a 4.5 hectare zone will be landscaped. After the completion of the project, the citydwellers will receive an area of 12.8 hectares with a 1.1 km long alley. As the money for the project arrives, the works will continue in 2019.
