Krasnodar, 13 July – Yug Times. According to the project “Cashless City” shared by the Sberbank and the Krasnodar City Administration, the public transport in the Kuban capital may shortly fully be switched to cashless payments. “The transfer to cashless payments is efficient from the viewpoint of increased comfort for the passengers and transparency of the flow of revenue to the Krasnodar Tramway and Trolleybus Administration,” Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov said. “We will continue to develop an electronic fare system to be able to fully give up cash settlements in the public transport.” To achieve the goal, it will be necessary to get all popular card schemes connected to the project.
“The city of Krasnodar and the Krasnodar region are national leaders on the activity of Mir cards holders,” noted Sergei Romanov, deputy head of the Mir payment system’s directorate of development of non-financial services.
