Krasnodar, 4 July – Yug Times. Summer vacations are legitimate time to be at leisure, but leisure activities may be different - from passive lying to active and energetic activities. Which one will win? It depends on what the kids and their parents want to see at the beginning of a new school year in September. Here adepts of extracurricular activities - music, robotics or a foreign language - may become of help. Summer is hard time for such supplementary education centres.
Kids are not always prepared to devote their vacations to acquisition of any new knowledge. Thus such institutions, both state or privately run, should be cunning to think out how and by what to attract the teenagers during their free time. In summer, such supplementary education centres retire from classic lessons in favour of daily programs or some shorter courses based on intensive acquisition of the material. Their main peculiarity is that schoolchildren receive academic knowledge “in the background mode” - they are relaxing but their knowledge will be retained until the end of the vacations.
