Krasnodar, 29 June – Yug Times. Prospects and opportunities of development of entrance thoroughfares into Krasnodar have reportedly been discussed at a meeting headed by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. One of the topics of the meeting was discussion of the construction of a comfortable area around the residential neighbourhoods of Znamensky and Novoznamensky. To have them included into Krasnodar’s city boundaries, the problem of their transport accessibility must be resolved, say, at cost of new roads that should be built to connect Krasnodar with the M4 Don highway.
Currently the main thoroughfares that connect Krasnodar with the said neighbourhoods and the federal highway are the exit from Uralskaya Street and the road across Industrialny neighbourhood. Two alternate roads are planned to be constructed to release the load off these two thoroughfares. The first alternate is to be laid along Tikhoretskaya Street till the interchange by Loris neighbourhood. The second alternate is to be built by widening of the existing roads near Plodorodny and Krasnodarsky neighbourhoods and exiting to Milutinskaya Street via 1 Maia and Rossiyskaya Streets. Thereby Krasnodar is to get a continuous thoroughfare leading from the east westwards.
