Krasnodar, 26 June – Yug Times. Once a year, municipal officials have to declare their previous year’s income and prove the changes in their property status. The Yug Times has inquired how the city mayors and municipal heads were getting on in 2017. Let us start with the best-off civil servants, who declared the income of 3 million roubles and more. It was Vitaly Ochkalasov, the nine-year-long head of the Kavkazsky rayon, who appeared to be the richest municipal head. His last year’s income exceeded 17.9 million roubles, including income from leasing of 80 land parcels co-owned by Mr. Ochkalasov.
The bulk of the municipal heads fell into the group of the earners of 1 to 3 million roubles a year. This group includes Krasnodar and Novorossiysk mayors, and heads of such economically lagging rayons as Mostovskoi and Apsheronsk. The leader of this group is Anatoli Pakhomov, Sochi City Mayor, with the income of 2.2 million roubles. The third group consisted of the municipal heads that declared less than 1 million roubles. There were 5 of them - the heads of the Dinskoi, Brukhovetsky, Belorechensk, Beloglinsky and Novopokrovsky rayons.
It was Yuri Reviakin from the Novopokrovsky rayon that appeared to be the public officer with the most modest means - he declared only 761,000 roubles. However, his wife appeared to be the most prosperous spouse of all municipal heads, with the declared revenue of more than 27.5 million roubles. The declaration did not state whether this money had been her salary or rental fees.
