Krasnodar, 8 June – Yug Times. The Russian automobile fuel market is undergoing serious changes.
Since June 1, the excise rates on petrol and diesel fuel have been reduced by 3,000 and 2,000 roubles per ton, respectively. The news was announced following a recent meeting held by Vice Prime Minister Dmitri Kozak, responsible for power engineering issues.
The Cabinet of Ministers says they cannot exclude that the excises will continue to go down - by another 700 roubles per ton, starting from July 1. Meanwhile, the average retail price of petrol grew by 80 copecks, and that of diesel fuel by 81 copecks over the week of May 21 till 28.
Notwithstanding the significant rise, the price for petrol stopped at 42.83 roubles per liter.
