Krasnodar, 1 June – Yug Times. An annual monitoring carried out by the All-Russia Popular Front has again revealed violations of safety regulations in the amusements parks of the Krasnodar region.
The public activists have inspected eight amusement parks and seventy children’s side-shows in Krasnodar, Sochi, Novorossiysk, Yeisk, Goriachy Kluch and Novokubansk. Despite the orders issued by the regional prosecutor’s office, some entrepreneurs failed to adhere to the safety rules.
“On May Day holidays, there was an emergency case in our of the parks in Novorossiysk,” reported Andrei Mershiev, a Popular Front activist in the city. “The new Ferris wheel with passengers suddenly glitched – it began to move backwards quickly. After the incident, we did another monitoring, this time together with journalists. And only then all breaches got fully repaired.”
The information on the most serious breaches was handed over to the prosecutor’s office for immediate feedback and punishment of the guilty. Not all amusements have started to work so far, which is why the monitoring will go on.
