Krasnodar, 8 May – Yug Times. Krasnodar has reportedly played host to an all-Russia conference and competition on practical information security “KubanCTF-2018”. Forty-eight IT teams from all corners of Russia came to the Kuban capital to take part in the contest. They competed in Internet reconnaissance and speed and tried to find gaps in the information protection systems.
Because of its importance, a number of top regional officials took part in the work of the conference. Speaking at its opening ceremony, Chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly Yuri Burlachko reminded the thesis stating that “who owns the information, he owns the world”.
“Unauthorized acquisition of information has become a global threat in the contemporary world,” stated Mr. Burlachko. “Every country makes huge efforts to protect its cyber security against reconnaissance activity of foreign countries’ special services.”
