Krasnodar, 8 May – Yug Times. Anatoli Gorgul, People’s Artist of Russia that has devoted nearly sixty years of his career to Krasnodar’s audience, turned eighty on May 7.
Despite his solid age, Gorgul is in good cheer, enthusiastic and rehearses new roles. Notwithstanding his long experience in the theatre, he confesses that he continues to feel agitation and sense of responsibility before his spectators.
Anatoli Gorgul has played dozens of roles, each of which would reveal his talent in a different way.
“It is extremely difficult to climb the steep mountain of perfection in acting technique, so it would be impossible to conquer its peak,” states maestro. “But one may go on climbing to approximate the ideal.”
And Anatoli Gorgul keeps on climbing this mountain of theatrical craftsmanship. It is the stage that pushes him to go on.
Now he and his colleagues are rehearsing a new play called “Marmoset”. It will be devoted to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Krasnodar region from Nazi invaders.
