Krasnodar, 4 May – Yug Times. In the framework of the Volunteer’s Year, a large-scale environmental activity was carried out in Krasnodar on April 21. The cleanup of the Krasnodarsky Forest Park was organized and performed by the Southern Regional Council on Corporate Volunteership, represented by Philip Morris International’s affiliated companies in Russia, Danone Group of Companies, Nestlé Kuban, Cargill, CLAAS and Kuban Credit Bank. The project was supported by the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Administration of Specially Protected Natural Territories of the Krasnodar region.
The Krasnodarsky Forest Park was given the status of a specially protected natural territory last year. It represents a stripe of land along the Kuban River with artificial and natural plantations of trees.
As a result, this joint initiative of a number of Krasnodar-based companies turned into a large corporate volunteers’ activity, with 150 attendees that removed about 60 cubic metres of waste and garbage.
