Krasnodar, 11 April – Yug Times. This is the 261st issue of The Yug Times, the only bilingual Russian-English socio-political weekly in the Krasnodar region. Its first issue appeared in print five years ago, in March 2013.
Our fifth birthday is a significant anchoring point that lets us review our results and look into the future with optimism.
The Yug Times is a conceptually new weekly paper for southern Russia. It is targeted mainly at business age readers, chief executives and top managers of different companies, the ones that strive for self-education, are receptive to imaginative ideas, value their time and are distinguished by a high social status. The paper is also addressed to expats that reside and work in the Krasnodar region and beyond.
Our editorial policy is being formed accordingly: over the past five years, The Yug Times has become a site for business communications and a connecting link between business circles and authorities. Over this period of time, we have organized 36 roundtables and held 25 conferences.
The Krasnodar region is known to be interesting to international investors, and The Yug Times stays in the information frontline, forming an inviting image of the region. When investing their money in a certain project, businesspeople would mention it as an incentive factor.
The list of our international partners includes top managers of all major companies operating in the region - Bonduelle, CLAAS, Fresenius, Philip Morris, Knauf, and others.
With the help of our weekly, local entrepreneurs recount their achievements and share their problems.
The Yug Times has held more than 200 investigations on most burning topics of the region’s public life.
To sum up, we can state that we can rightfully be proud of our progress, but we are confident that the following five years will be even more successful for The Yug Times.
