Krasnodar, 14 February – Yug Times. During his visit to the Otradnensky rayon, Vice Governor Vasili Shvets proposed to found a union of furniture-makers.
Directors of local furniture factories told Mr. Shvets that they have to bring in most of the raw materials needed from other municipalities or regions, which raises the cost and consequently the selling price of their products.
To minimize the expenses, Mr. Shvets proposed to found an association of furniture-makers that will enable them to increase the delivery volumes of wood and other primary products and thereby lower the logistic expenditures and make their pricing policy more customer-oriented.
Reportedly, the regional Department for Industrial Policy will assist the manufacturers in the establishment of the Association of Furniture-Makers.
