Krasnodar, 8 February – Yug Times. Last week, Krasnodar City Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov had a meeting with the activists of the regional branch of the All-Russia Popular Front.
Reportedly, it was a heated discussion in the form of a roundtable. The activists were raising many issues — about road repair works, old buildings, architectural heritage and the state of the city’s public transport and private vehicles.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Mr. Pervyshov said: “It is public control and experts’ competence on most issues that give the city authorities a chance to look at certain situations from a different standpoint, which manifolds the efficiency of our work. The results and figures are measured not only in square metres of landscaped territories and kilometres of repaired roads, but first of all by the reaction of the townspeople who saw and assessed the efficiency of national and regional projects and programs.”
Mr. Pervyshov also noted that there is a lot of work ahead of the city administration in all directions.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, the co-chair of the regional branch of the All-Russia Popular Front Boris Levitsky said: “The cooperation between the regional authorities and public activists was given publicity at the top national level. At the [recent] Forum of Activities, President Vladimir Putin was informed of a national rating, where we came third in the results in this direction, [narrowly following Moscow and St. Petersburg].”
