Krasnodar, 6 February – Yug Times. Next June the Krasnodar region will be hosting the festival called Russian Antique Heritage.
The event will be held in the framework of the recently proclaimed Russian-Greek Year of Tourism in four municipalities where ancient Greek city states used to be located in the past — Gelendzhik, Anapa, Novorossiysk and the Temriuk rayon, or Torikos, Horhippia, Bata and Phanagoria, respectfully.
The festival’s agenda will include the work of thematic grounds History and Culture, Arts and Handicrafts, Gastronomy and Winemaking, Seafaring and Military Science, and Sports and Olympic Movement.
Greece’s Ambassador to Russia Andreas Friganas gave a high assessment to the potential of the upcoming event and noted its importance for the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations. Khristofor Konstantinidi, regional Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage presented Mr. Friganase with the book “The Land of Amazons” about heroes of ancient legends and outstanding archaeological inventions.
