Krasnodar, 6 February – Yug Times. On February 15 and 16, Sochi will become the venue of the annual Russian Investment Forum.
Last week Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev recounted what this business event will look like this time. About 4,000 participants are expected to come, including businesspeople, regional officials, experts and journalists. The Krasnodar region is developing a large-scale stand with about 440 investment proposals to be presented in the zone of the municipalities.
“These will be not big but separate projects in [most important] industrial or agricultural sectors but an independent direction in the development of the regional economy, and formation of industrial clusters,” stated Mr. Kondratiev. “Every flagship project is a solid complex of activities and priority investment proposals.”
It was also announced that about 140 international companies have confirmed their participation in the Russian Investment Forum.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Mr. Kondratiev was quoted as calling it “the best grounds to present the investment potential of the country’s regions and to discuss their development programs.”
