Krasnodar, 12 December – Yug Times. According to a research performed by RIA Rating, Krasnodar region occupies the 42nd place in the rating of the Russian regions as regards the level of wages.
The average net monthly wages reportedly amounted to 21,600 rubles. The share of the employees with the monthly wages of more than 100,000 rubles was 1.56%, and of the wages of less than 10,000 rubles was 12.1%.
Russia’s highest paid regions are Moscow and Northern and Far Eastern regions. For instance, nearly 24% of the employees in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug earn over 100,000 rubles a month, with a share of low-paid jobs equaling to 0.6% only. The second best-paid region is the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug with 21% employees earning over 100,000 rubles a month; the third place was given to Moscow — 17%.
The authors of the survey noted that in many respects high wages can be treated as compensation for rather high prices in the respective regions. This compensation has to do not only with consuming goods but also with the losses in life comfort and quality due to the severe climate and remoteness from other regions.
