Krasnodar, 4 October – Yug Times. A new public recreation zone has been opened in Krasnodar for the first time over the past 30 years. The project was accomplished at the expense of Sergei Galitsky, the owner of the retail chain Magnit and FC Krasnodar.
The so-called ‘technical opening’ of the new park took place a year after the opening of FC Krasnodar’s home stadium that has acquired the status of a remarkable sight of the city. According to Mr. Galitsky, the park will start working at its full potential next spring, after the completion of landscaping works and installation of lighting.
The area of the park is 22.7 hectares. It has been laid out on the barren fields by the stadium and Football Academy. The park has more than 30 grounds, fit for different types of rest and recreation.
The visitors of the park will be able to admire the view of the trees brought from throughout the world — from Europe to Japan. By the way, all verdure has been chosen so that the park will stay green all the year round. For instance, the sages become bright-lilac in autumn, while the fullmoon maple dresses in purple magenta colour, and bonsai pines remain green. In total, 2,300 trees have been planted in the park; as on now over a half of it, 13.2 hectares, have been planted with trees and shrubs.
