Krasnodar, 19 September – Yug Times. According to the official results of the election of the new convocation of the regional Legislative Assembly, 42.06% of the registered voters of the Krasnodar region took part in the event. Most of them gave their votes to United Russia party.
It got 70.78% votes on the party list — and 29 seats in the parliament. United Russia is followed by the Communist Part of the Russian Federation — 11.53%, or 3 seats, and Liberal Democratic Party with the same number of seats. Just Russia and Communists of Russia found themselves beyond the new parliament — they had not been able to overcome the 5% barrier (the former got 3.48% votes, and the latter — 1.54%).
Out of the 35 seats of the single member constituencies, 31 would also go to United Russia. The rest four seats were distributed as follows: Yulia Parkhomenko (Growth Party, founded by business ombudsman Boris Titov), Denis Khmelevsky (initially from Just Russia, but then expelled from the party ‘for betrayal,’ so that he would position himself as an independent deputy), and two self-nominees — Nikolai Kravchenko and Viktor Tepliakov.
