Krasnodar, July 26 – Yug Times. The nationally announced Year of Ecology may become a critical moment for the popularization of electromobiles and development of the respective infrastructure in the Krasnodar region.
Ten charging stations will reportedly open in Krasnodar in the near future. The capacity of each device will be 50 kW, so it will take just a couple of minutes to fully charge a vehicle. It is the infrastructural development and different perks that may do the environmental friendly transport more appealing.
According to official statistics, there were only 45 electric vehicles registered in the Krasnodar region as on the beginning of 2017. The expansion of the electric car fleet is currently restrained by lack of proper infrastructure and expensiveness of the vehicles: the cost of such car in Russia varies from 900,000 to 9 million rubles.
At the same time, high prices for environmental friendly vehicles are compensated for by their higher economic efficiency. For instance, the charging stations in Tatarstan use per minute tariffs. With a minute costing 10 rubles, a 24 kW/h battery is fully charged in 15 minutes, which has a driving range of 150 km in urban cycle.
Thus, the economy in comparison with conventional transport is vivid, which may become a mighty stimulus for the growing popularity of eco-friendly vehicles.
